A Detroit Federation of Teachers telephone hotline now gives members the latest information on the status of contract bargaining.

The 24-hour hotline number is 313-875-3500.  It became operational June 15.  Follow the prompts to get the latest news.

"This is just another way we will get accurate and timely information to our members," said DFT President Janna K. Garrison.  "As your persident, I also will use the media to notify you of important developments over the summer."
